Principal Who Told Kids Not to Speak Spanish Will Lose Job
Principal who told kids not to speak Spanish will lose job
An interesting idea. I had GT kids that would do all of their group work in spanish because they felt more comfortable with the language. It bothered me that I didn't understand what they were saying, but I was always impressed that they were bilingual at an academic level. Maybe the teachers should all learn spanish and everything can be taught in two languages??

"The Financial Allocation Study for Texas (FAST) provides a unique model for measuring how relative spending in Texas public school districts and campuses compares to student academic progress."
The website by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts will allow you to compare school districts' "progress" measured by testing results and the money spent in that school district.
